Rune Readings

Hi lovely soul,

There was a time when I was casting runes almost as much as I was reading tarot. Some of you have had rune readings from me but most of you probably aren’t aware that this is something I offer.

Tarot came into my life first, when I was only 12 years old, but runes came to me not long after. My older brother became interested in runes first and when he moved overseas for university, he gifted me his pouch of runes along with a book that delved into the history and the meanings of each symbol. That set of runes was lost somewhere along the way (the drawback of moving overseas and back again many times is losing cherished possessions along the way).

My second set was one I made myself, with river rocks I gathered and lovingly polished. I passed that one on to a friend at a time when I was moving away from my Scandinavian ancestry. But lately, I am called back to working with runes.

My current set is of wood, my first one made of wood instead of stone. It was a gift from a dear friend in Glastonbury. Third time the charm, right? This is the set I connect with most, perhaps because it came to me at a time when I most needed it.

Delving into reading runes again has coincided with this inward spiral back to seidr. Freyja is calling to me once more, making her presence known in the form of a stray cat drawn to my neck of the woods. I am exploring the folklore and practices of my Scandinavian ancestors, revisiting my Swedish grandmother’s recipes, and learning more about my family tree.

Here are just a few examples of the types of readings I have done for clients in the past.

The Norns

This is a past, present, future reading. If you want some insight into your life trajectory and how the past has influenced your present and the likely outcome in future based on this, perhaps this is the reading for you.

True Love

This is a relationship reading (not limited to romantic love). If you’d like some insight about your relationship with a particular person, this is the reading for you.

Seeress Prophecy

This is a nine-rune reading that involves trancework. If you are looking for a wilder, more intuitive, throwing the bones kind of reading, this one is for you.

Wheel of the Year

This is an eight-rune reading that follows the wheel of the year. Depending on when you book this reading, I start with the next (or current) sabbat and follow the wheel of the year. This is a good reading for birthdays, anniversaries, or during any major life transition, so you can get a feel for the likely influences and outcome over the course of a year.

Cost to Book:

I am currently called to offer all of these readings on a sliding scale. Pay what you can afford. Three rune readings are less complex than say wheel of the year or 9-rune readings and take less of my time. For every reading, I create sacred space first. Each reading is a ritual. You get a detailed pdf file with photos of the reading and written description of each of the runes and what they mean.

Suggested price, but open to receive whatever you can afford.
